Whoa whoa whoa, what a week! Did you see that huge Asteroid hit Russia? That happened on the same day another Asteroid was flying only 15 minutes away past earth. Honestly, I had to search to find out what was up with all those dashboard cam videos the people of Russia sent in. Apparently, Russia has one of the highest car-accident rates in the world. And even more surprising is the mountains of articles that state how bad the driving, and the negligence of the drivers actually are. I would recommend some anger management courses. (Like seriously, hit and runs and shit.) There are stories of Police bribery, people jumping in front of cars, and a high rate of general insurance fraud.-and this is the PG13 version, the not so PG13 can be found here: read at your own discretion. So, evidently, they need the cameras to prove who was at fault during these events.

Okay, back to the Asteroid that hit Russia, besides Russia’s initial skepticism on it actually truly being an Asteroid, NASA confirmed that the impact involved a 15 meter wide, 7000 ton Asteroid that flew towards the earth at 18 kilometers per second. (Whoa, little dangerous.)

Thankfully, our old friend Bill Nye The Science Guy cleared up that the catastrophically sized Asteroid named, 2012 DA14, and others just like it, are being watched closely by new technologies, and he has come forth to figure out ways to either deviate, or at least warn us of any detections that we may get hit by another Asteroid from our “cosmic shooting gallery” in the sky. (reassuring?)
